2008 Success Stories -Part 3
Updated 1/4/2009

NICHOLAS (was CJ)
has been adopted by a nice lady who is a grooming client of mine who recently lost her sheltie to old age and health problems. Her house was empty without a sheltie and she fell in love with him (and vice versa) almost instantly.
  PIPER
is at her new home and she's going to get to go to work with her owner.. They also have a home in Colorado, so Piper will be doing some traveling.
  SID
makes his home with two other WSR shelties. He lives with a groomer so he'll always be gorgeous!

LACEY (l) & BETTY (r)
have the greatest home a senior dog could have..with a veterinarian! If you get to the Amberg Wisconsin area, stop in at the Amberg Veterinary clinic, you'll probably see several WSR shelties wandering around there.
  MISSY
is a little border collie mix that we took in and after awhile I was able to find her a home with a great couple who have two big dogs and miss a smaller dog in the house.
  RIGGINS
has a great new home where he will get all the attention as an only dog. He's learning all about being spoiled. Maybe some day he'll talk his mom and dad into getting him a brother or sister!
  CHARLIE
finally found a home after being in rescue for nearly 6 months. Charlie likes to spin and chase shadows so his new home is going to give him plenty of exercise to try to help him with his energy. He has some collie cousins that he'll visit on occasion and I'm sure he'll keep up with them just fine!

QUINCY
has a great home with a woman who takes him to her dad's each day while she's at work so he doesn't' have to be alone. He has a whole fenced in yard to himself and is getting the retirement that he deserves.
  CASEY (was Spam)
is the second of the puppies from the latest mill dispersal to go home. She's now living the Sheltied Life with her new family.
  LADY
makes her home with two other WSR shelties Lexi & Meiko. She is enjoying her time with her new found friends and a family that loves her.
  CORKY
makes his home with my high school Physics teacher and his family. They've had a sheltie in the past who lived a happy long life and were now ready for another one. Corky has a nice big yard in the country and someone home with him almost all the time.
  SOPHIE was Snoopy)
has a terrific home up north with a couple other WSR shelties. She'll have the greatest vet care at the Amberg Vet Clinic, where it's not uncommon to see a few WSR shelties wandering around every day since Dr. Rocci has them too!

HERCULES
went to his new home with a couple and their Boston Terrier named Louise. He has some big shoes to fill as WSR's Tramp recently passed away there after 10 years of a great life!
  SABRINA
went to a foster home for a couple weeks to get some obedience training and one-on-one attention. Chris has been working with her alot, even taking her to work and up north to their cabin. Her husband calls and says that it's Chris's birthday and her present is being able to keep Sabrina. She now has a great home with four other shelties, including WSR Johnny. I'll have to find out when her husband's birthday is so I can have a foster dog in place at that time :
  YAHOO
is the first of the puppies to get a new home. She had the calmest demeanor. She has a home with a nice fenced in yard and a rescued American Eskimo named Indy who's been dying for a playmate since she lost her sheltie friend to old age. She wanted to play the second I got in the door and Yahoo wasn't sure, but they are reporting that the two are already good buddies.
  MOLLY
is in a home that's been waiting for the perfect sheltie for a while now. Molly has a lot to live up to because she's probably going to end up in paintings. She lives with artist Rozan who does the beautiful sheltie and horse prints that we have at the reunion and at our shows.
  ROWDY
took a while to get a home but he's now living in peace and quiet (except when he's barking) with a nice couple whose first WSR sheltie died some years ago.

DARCY (was Frannie)
found a home with a great couple who came to Wisconsin from Oregon earlier this year. They have always loved shelties and live close enough so that Frannie can come here for vacations.
  CJ (was Cesar)
is a little peanut of a guy who had to go to his new home wearing a pink harness because it's the only one I had! Despite his identity crisis, he's doing well. Becky and Dave are adjusting to having a tiny sheltie in the house because their last WSR sheltie Teddy was a big boy.
  ABBY
is a very lucky little girl. She has a kitty friend named Elvis and a summer home up north so she'll be doing some traveling every weekend (hopefully she gets over her carsickness soon!
  BUTCHIE
has a great home with a cute mixed breed dog to play with. His owners were former sheltie owners and the house didn't seem the same without one.
  ROCKY
was adopted out by a shelter and then returned to them. He is the most adorable little thing and he now has a great home with two other shelties and the occasional shih tzu.
